Locating Post Tension Cables Prior To Drilling
- Nashville, Tennessee

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. was recently contacted by a contractor in the greater Nashville area to map out the post tension cables running through a newer concrete slab. Additional cores through the elevated slab needed to be drilled and the contractor did not want to strike any post tension cables. The orange lines in the picture above show the post tension cables and the black marks represented the rebar. By using GPRS, the contractor was able to determine the layout of his new cores without the concern of drilling through the PT cables.
